GM_Velyn

Dnd is at its best when people can come together to tell a story and with a DM that can roll with the insanity that PC’s make. GM_Velyn truly embodies that. They are one of the rare ones that actually makes your backstory relevant. I played a completely unhinged pirate captain in a campaign of thiers and it was complete lunacy. Despite how crazy we all got they were great at getting us to remember what our charecters were fighting for, how we filled our days and how we interacted with the world around us outside of combat. I found myself investing in the economic infastructure of one of the towns we called home, building a chosen family. They really help to turn your charecter into a whole person.

Been in an ongoing campaign with Velyn for over a year, going on two. I was extremely new to TTRPGs as a whole and Vel has always been extremely patient and encouraging with me, helping me grow in both experience and confidence. He puts a lot of thought and work into his campaigns. He manages a perfect balance of challenges, humour, gravity and thought-provoking situations. His stories are well-developed and leave me excited for each next session.

He was also one of the major factors in inspiring me to try DM’ing myself. That’s still a work in progress!

I whole-heartedly recommend Velyn.

Velyn is an amazing GM. He brings out the best in every session, with captivating descriptions, helpful direction, and fun personality to his table. He’s very accommodating to newer players and insightful when a player needs advise. He also allows a good degree of creativity within reason that elevates each session.

Vellyn was one of the first DM’s I ever had when I started playing TTRPG’s. He always had a focus on making the space welcoming, safe for new players, and had a focus on fun. Vellyn did the very best to keep “Rule of Cool” at the forefront and made sure that each player had chances for their character to do the cool stuff they made their character to do.

Vellyn is always creating new things for the worlds, willing to share the lore, and makes all past characters stay important in the world. When you finish one campaign and start up the next one, you will see the evidence of your character, their exploits, and how they affected the world.

Vellyn has provided many memorable moments through the times that I’ve played with him. Campaigns are full of thought-out lore, and sessions have plenty of merry-making. Great balancing of tone and consequence to make a realistic fantasy.
